GP education

The Mater Hospital is proud to be approved as an Endorsed Provider of GP education (AAP No. 216735) with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in their Quality Improvement and Continuing Professional Development (QI & CPD) Program.

We believe that the General Practitioner is pivotal in the continuum of patient care and we aim to assist GP’s to maintain and improve the quality of care they give to their patients by providing up-to-date information about the latest developments in health care and disease management. Our program also aims to promote a strong link and open communication between referring GP’s, the hospital and our surgeons and physicians.

The program is structured to meet specific GP needs, is based on principles of interactive adult education and serves to reinforce GP knowledge and skills and is subject to a continual review process to ensure quality improvement and high standards of GP education.

Seminars are recorded and available as videos.
